Meet Jennifer Blake

Jennifer Blake is a Registered Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in North Carolina who is passionate about helping children develop communication skills and confidence. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and completed additional coursework in Communication Sciences and Disorders before becoming registered as an SLPA in 2025.

Jennifer has experience working with children ages 18 months through 13 years across home health, daycare, private practice, and early intervention settings. Her clinical experience includes early language development, articulation and phonological disorders, expressive and receptive language delays, social communication, fluency, and AAC.

Jennifer believes therapy should be engaging, individualized, and fun. She uses evidence-based, play-based strategies such as modeling, language expansion, recasting, scaffolding, and total communication to help children build functional communication skills. She enjoys incorporating each child's interests into therapy while creating a supportive environment where children feel comfortable, successful, and excited to learn.

Jennifer also values partnering with families, caregivers, educators, and other professionals to help children generalize their communication skills across environments. She is committed to making therapy meaningful and helping each child grow in confidence and independence.

Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys spending time with family, reading, and exploring new places.
